For nearly four decades, President and Mrs. Carter put their faith into action and worked alongside over 104,000 volunteers across the U.S. and in 14 countries to build 4,390 homes. A tireless champion of affordable housing, President Carter was deeply committed to Habitat’s mission and to living out his faith. Habitat for Humanity in the Roanoke Valley is committed to honoring President Carter’s legacy by following his example of servant leadership and continuing to answer the call for affordable housing.
Funds committed by Habitat-Roanoke supporters, in honor of President Carter, will be committed to HFHRV’s 40th Anniversary “Community House”, scheduled for 2026.
