Make a Difference
Since our founding in 1986, 284 families in the Roanoke Valley area have realized their dream of safe, affordable homeownership. This is only possible due to the hard work and focused dedication of volunteer groups like yours.
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Habitat for Humanity in the Roanoke Valley!
We welcome volunteer groups year-round on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. The work day is 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. We ask that construction groups be 12 volunteers or less. If your work group, civic organization or just a bunch of friends would like to work together on a build day, contact our Volunteer and Faith Relations Manager, Gina Dunnavant at volunteer@habitat-roanoke.org to schedule a work day, or call (540)344-0747 extension 110. All volunteers must be 16 years or older.
Construction Groups
We welcome groups in the Habitat ReStore Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. At this time, we are asking that groups be 10 volunteers or less. If you have a group that would love to help the retail fundraising side of Habitat-Roanoke, contact our Volunteer and Faith Relations Manager, Gina Dunnavant, by email at volunteer@habitat-roanoke.org or call (540)344-0747 extension 110.

Engaging with Habitat-Roanoke is a great way to display your company’s passion for serving others to your employees and community. Organizations can take advantage of numerous ways to engage with Habitat-Roanoke, from multi-week home builds to concentrated three-day construction blitzes to a one-day volunteer shift.
