Habitat for Humanity in the Roanoke Valley has an open-door policy: We welcome all who believe everyone deserves to have a decent, affordable place to live, to be part of our work, regardless of race, religion age, gender, politics or any other distinction that too often divides people. In short, Habitat-Roanoke welcomes volunteers, supporters and potential homeowners from all backgrounds.

Habitat for Humanity in the Roanoke Valley is a nonprofit Christian housing organization. As a matter of policy, Habitat for Humanity International and its affiliated organizations do not proselytize. All who desire to be part of this work are welcome, regardless of religious preference or background. We have a policy of building with people in need regardless of race or religion. We welcome volunteers and supporters from all backgrounds.

We offer a hand up, not a hand out, to qualified applicants who seek Habitat housing as their solution to affordable housing in the Roanoke Valley.
