Ways to Give
Make an Impact
However you choose to support Habitat for Humanity in the Roanoke Valley, you are making an impact on families that will last for generations.
Since 1986, Habitat-Roanoke has built or rehabilitated 287 homes for your, family, friends and neighbors. More than 1,000 adults have received a hand-up in life, while more than 300 children have been provided with a safe and warm place to call home.
Thank you for your commitment!
Memorial Gifts
Habitat Roanoke provides donor opportunities to make honorarium and memorial gifts, and will send to the individual of your choice a specially designed notification card.

Construction In-Kind Donations
Donations of new building materials can be made to Habitat Roanoke’s construction initiatives. Donations can also be made to Habitat Roanoke in the form of professional services required on construction sites, such as masonry, HVAC installation, electrical wiring, plumbing and more.
To make an in-kind donation, please contact Brian Clark at (540)344-0747 ext. 447 or email brian@habitat-roanoke.org.
ReStore Donations
When you donate new or gently-used items to the Habitat ReStore, you are making affordable homeownership a reality. You are also keeping perfectly usable items from needlessly going to waste in a landfill. In fact, last year alone, an estimated 250 tons of material was diverted away from landfills. That is 110 trash trucks!
Beyond that, ReStore Habitat for Humanity in the Roanoke Valley is one of the best in Virginia, ranking 2nd in total sales for stores serving a population range between 200k-400k and 1st in total sales and net profit! All funds that go back into the Habitat-Roanoke mission.
Have items to donate to the ReStore or questions about items to donate? Call (540)344-0747 and select option #4. Donations to the ReStore are tax-deductible.
Planned Gifts
Make a lasting difference through a planned gift to Habitat-Roanoke. Planned gifts – such as a bequest, life income plan or beneficiary designation – provide a way to support Habitat-Roanoke in the future, while maintaining control over your estate and assets. As you plan and reflect on the legacy you will leave, thank you for considering a gift to benefit our mission.
Did you know that mortgages paid by Habitat homebuyers are recycled back into the program, benefitting future home builds? In fact, 86.3% of all donations to Habitat-Roanoke go directly into our mission.
If you would like additional information or would like to make a planned gift to Habitat-Roanoke, please contact Betty Jean Wolfe at (540)344-0747 extension 446 or email at bettyjean@habitat-roanoke.org.
